Edwards crossing,Need Help?

Looking for any info on edwards crossing area. I am planning to head up there this weekend. I am looking for a spot to use my sluice box, my buddy was saying its hands and pans only. Any info much appreciated thanks Gravelwasher.

Purdone crossing up river 1/2 mile is where the ancient YUBA river gold channel crosses the river and oro puro fer sure this time a year--John
