This was worth the visit for sure, we enjoyed the self-lead style tour. Just wandering around on the deck was worth the admission. She meets Coast Guard seaworthiness regs, so she's not "perfectly" scale, but the dimension and rigging were all incredible. We would do it again, Enjoy, and go see it if you can.

Thanks for sharing the pics Jason. Beautiful ship. Not sure if we will see her in Port Canaveral or later in the month in St. Augustine.

Really, really cool, but I will never get to see her unless she floats up the San Antonio River(our muddy little ditch as Mark Cuban calls it) and docks on the Riverwalk...

That's funny Austin....I live in Austin for a bit and went to the river walk in SA many times. I also worked for mark Cuban back in the early days of AudioNet (eventually became Broadcast.yahoo.com). I'll try to get some more pics up when I have time, I took about 1000. :-)

Lynn, this one is named Andulucia and was completed and launched in 2011. I believe this is her first US appearance but I could be wrong. Hope all is well with you.

She'll be here in St. Augustine til June 9th. Here stay was extended a week. I have a bunch of photos on the camera and will be stopping by in a few days to go aboard.

For anyone still wanting to see El Galeon, she will remain in port at St. Augustine until June 23rd. She has become a fixture on the bayfront, and just accepted the Spanish House of Burgundy colors that have flown over the Castillo de San Marcos.

That's cool Diver_Down, thanks for the update. Maybe you could get some pictures of her with her sails up as she leaves? I was going to go back to Canaveral and catch her leaving there because I have access to boats in the area. Obviously I missed that opportunity, maybe someone can snap a few shots and post them here.

I doubt that she'll be under sail when leaving. Perhaps in the outer inlet once she passes the bar. All the tall ships that visit St. Augustine come and go under power. Despite repeated dredging, the shifting sands still causes vessels to run aground. The buoy markers actually don't mark the inlet. Apparently there is no money to move the buoys so harbormasters are required to guide the tall ships. I'll be there when she leaves in the unique event that she does raise her sails.
