My guess is that OV took those pics sometime late last Fall. There ain't a
bull elk anywhere that's packing horns right now.
 

A darn good reason to not metal detect during hours of darkness there.

They were taken a couple days ago and there was more then one.

Elk here in Montana usually don't start shedding antlers till around March I believe.
