In 1987 I found 1 of the British transports that they scuttled in an effort to stop the French fleet from attacking Newport. Since that time there have been hundreds of dives and countless divers examining these sites. I know all the players on both sides and all I can say is now there is a lot of bad blood between the Aussies and the RIMAP crew. When I found that transport I used the cupola on a Naval War College building as a landmark and in 1989 I got a job there.
