Ended my drought in a Large way

Very few finds lately, as my public spots and my couple permissions are running dry. This weekend, however, I searched a new cellar hole I found dating back to at least the 1850s. I wasn’t expecting much, as it is in a very visible public area. About 30 minutes into my search, I was excited to find this 1830 Large Cent about six feet from the edge of the hole. It gave off a chirping high tone with a VDI dancing around 32-34. It is in great shape except for some legacy scratches, perhaps from the brick or many nails in the soil. Can anyone tell if this is a large or medium letter variety, as I don’t have an eye for identifying varieties? Also found a few buttons, one of which still has a chunk of cloth attached. Lastly, I found a little thimble; wish it was silver. Thanks for checking out my post. Good luck out there.

I overlayed the image of your coin on top of the image pepperj shared, and I would say that yours is the Large Letter variety.

I ageee. I was thinking potentially medium letters, as the gap between “of” and “America” seemed a little wide. However, looking closer, the A’s do seem a little tight. Thanks for your opinion, I appreciate it.

Thanks. Not sure about a small date variety. I do believe there were 11 large letter varieties and one medium letter variety. I was hoping for medium, as that would be a bit more rare; however, I am very happy with this coin, as I rarely find large cents, especially in good condition.
