Congrats on the lead.

577 caliber Confederate bullet. This style is an English-made Enfield bullet with “57” stamped inside the cavity and with a box wood plug to aid expansion. Made in England by Eley Brothers and run through the blockade into the Confederacy.

That one is on my bucket list, I think. I have an Enfield that still has the wood plug in it. I have never tried to remove the plug so it may be a 57.

Great Save on the stamped base Confetrit' Enfield Bullet. I have never found one.

I got a first for me Saturday. I dug a shot Enfield with a 57 in the base.
WTG!!!

Hope you are well Merry Christmas & a blessed 2024.
