First welcome to the forum.

My guess.....it would work but it would be extremely hard and probably impossible to thoroughly clean. Regular miners moss has larger gaps and the weaving is made of smooth plastic or rubber. Evap pads are designed to maximize surface exposure to promote evaporation. The strands are coarse and somewhat flat and would not release very readily.

Good luck.

I used to use a reusable furnace filter from Home depot. It's made out of coconut fiber at the end of the year I'd burn it and pan the ashes.
