Interesting reads, here. However, I don't get the idea that some would rather not be ready to protect their family, themselves, or neighbors when faced with a deadly situation. If an intruder entered my home, threatened my family, my neighbors, or was physically abusing to another who could not defend themselves, I personally, could not stand by and do nothing, but watch. I would pray, that if I am not around to protect my family and neighbors, that someone would be near and ready to protect them in an instant, as would I, if it were their loved ones.

What if our government passed a law stating every adult male over the age of 18 was legally required to possess and carry a gun, would members carry, object to or refuse and why......We are talking about a law stating that if you do not carry a weapon at all times your are breaking the law and subject to arrest....

Remember the SSS? ie Selective Service System? The lady at the "Draft board said her whole family was "killed in Viet Nam" and there was no "reason" I couldn't do the same! She was a little "off". Then I was forced to Basic tng. where I became an "expert" with everything they had, but I am a teacher, and told them about M-16s etc. were all junk toys, and I prefer deer slugs for Officers sooo they gave me a typewriter and sent me to Korea instead! Shoes are just as effective for self conservation,and there is no need for shooting as we often find dangerous things detecting anyway. HH Boris Got a SOG knife worth $150.00 last year!

I think you read into things what ever you want it to say. Perhaps you don't understand the American language, this is an American Forum you know. Our founding fathers only died for our right. God didn't give us the right. God gave us the right to choose.

If this were to happen, would they pass a mandatory death sentence for shootings that aren't justifiable or self defense?

Why is the younger generations so short on morales? Is it the games, the "thug" videos? A lot of us grew up playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians. Yet there wasn't a lot of shootings, that we knew of. Hence the problem. Media has been able to get out mass broadcasts within minutes of the crimes. Maybe in the older days ignorance was bliss. If we didn't hear all the negative across the world or nation. Then all was good. I remember my grandma saying that these crimes never happened before. Maybe back then media didn't print or broadcast such crimes involving kids.
The youth of today sees criminals thrive while the ones who are trying to do the right path struggle and are punished. The criminals get probation for what normally would've been a prison sentence.
It used to be, you killed a person you were in prison or put to death. Now they live in prison (most states) and don't have to struggle with the life of the everyday civilian.
I'm not saying prison is an easy life. It's just the routine of work and bills and such.
These kids see that there's no real punishment for crimes. So why not toss the morals taught by the parents, grandparents.
I for one hope my kids stay on the moral path but know when to use force when appropriate and not out of anger.

By the way. I'd carry just as I do now. I don't need a piece of paper telling me I can or can't. It's better to be prepared than not.

Nope, it's an American subject, that is very near and dear to a lot of American people, and all he does is look down his: never mind, I'm developing a rant, and will stop. In my mind he's just trying to cause dissension. Of all the answers he's been given, at least while I've been involved, he either doesn't read them, but comes back off the wall, or he's English, but I don't know if that's his first language. At any rate we speak an American form of English that I wonder if he understands. If I'm a guest in someone's house I at least try to be polite. And I have never gone of another countries forum and told them they know nothing of their history and talked down their ideas and spout stuff that doesn't relate to the subject, we live here, he doesn't. I don't care if he's polite or not now, he's on my ignore list, and this is my last post from me regarding him.

1st...I looked at my post. Still wondering what was "insulting" about it? The smiley request?...That was for me, to show how frustrated some peoples comments can be on here. Kinda think you'd enjoy one for yourself where i'm concerned...right?

So.... What is the difference between the English language compared to the "American Language"? Although the 2ND is a topic that mostly regards US citizens this forum is an international one with members from around the world. Why would you put poor Dano on your ignore list? Nobody should ignore anything when it comes to their 2ND Amendment rights and freedoms.
