Exaclibur II ON Land and Sea

Just got a new Excalibur II and was wondering about the setting for land and beach, are they the same?. The soil is moderate in mineralization and the gulf beaches contains no black sand. Any thoughts?

Hi , Do you own all these detectors man . How far a you from the Chatt. river. If you own all these detectors the excall2 is like ridding a bike. The excall 2 will work great up in Alabama. Im from Phoenix City Alabama, Well on the other side of the river in GA. COTTON

he is correct on it working in Alabama....I live in Albertville and I use the excal 800 everywhere I go....i do a lot of water hunting in the summer but i use it on land all winter...i dont change any settings at all ....maybe turn down sens if I get a lot of falsing but thats it

I use to use my Excal on land as well. Setting were same as in water. I used no disc, sense started in auto then adjust till machine is nice and stable, volume set to max ............

Thanks and yes, I do own all these detectors ( I like diversity and lots of it ) and I just got the Excal. so I was wondering what other folks kept theirs set on for their best results. While I do not have a problem in using and setting any of them, its always good to know how others get their best results so you can experiment. I learn a lot from others and sometimes others can give you new ideas and that's the way you learn.
