Will get it before the cruise so I'll be trying it out in the Caymans, Montego and Cozumel...

I have 2 Excals and neither one has ever had a problem working in the water once I set the threshold and sense properly for the conditions present.

I didn't break it out in Cozumel and I didn't check the laws. Next trip I will have to do a lot more research. Clynick has a book on places to detect in the Carribean...thinking of getting it.

I took my detector with me back in the 80's on a Carribean Cruise. Did very well in a short time on the beaches but did not break out my detector at Cozumel either.
