Excalibur 2 help?

Happy New year all!
Am seeking some advice, I was in the woods the other day, unpacked the excalibur for the 5th use since new and the coil just fell out of the shaft, is loose.
Cant see any kind of spring retainer, were these just glued in? Kinda disappointed as I've treated it like a baby since new! Any help appreciated

Sounds like stem fail out of lower shaft. Use a good marine grade water proof glue to put it back on, be sure it is aligned properly. I did mine by aligning it perfectly and marking stem and lower shaft so when I glued it just had to align the marks.

I used a 2 part marine epoxy, just be sure you line it up perfectly then scratch a line on both pieces so you can aligned it perfectly when you glue it, once the glue sets up you will not be able to adjust it.

please post some photos showing different angles of what you are referring to? Did you find any parts lying on the floor that may have come from the detector?
