Lol! You got I looking down! Hooking it up to the thermostat tells me the temperature and if it gets too hot you unplug it! Sent from my iPhone using TreasureNet

Would be a great way to rid your home of company, such as in laws ect. , a fully charged battery on a timer over charging while out beach hunting. Sacrificing a battery just may be worth it from time to time! Lol

How long do you charge it?

I charge mine over night before each hunt about 10-12 hours..

American by birth, Patriot by choice.

I would rather die standing on my two feet defending our Constitution than live a lifetime on my knees......

I agree TH - I have never experienced "over-charge" - I let mine charge all night as I dream about my next Gold find :occasion14:

Now that is " thinking out of the box" !! Well done

Great idea!

If I could expand on an already great idea.
I was thinking if you put the battery pod in a bowl of water as deep as maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of the pod height. That would help transfer heat produced from the charging battery which is what I heard is one of the causes of cracked battery pods.

Not a bad idea!
