excelerator 16.5 coil on Explorer SE

have you tested excelerator 16.5 coil on Explorer SE? and what was the experience?

I had one of those huge ones that I got with a trade and tried it for an hour. In my opinion they are very useless seeing way too much ground. No, deeper, just more masking.

For the record I think the excelerator I tried was about 18"... if there is such a beast. It was huge.

I've also had a WOT and it at least falls in the range of sensible. It's a decent coil and if I wanted another large one it would be what I'd buy.

I use the 16.5 with my etrac.
I love it.
Especially when I'mnew field and need tolocate the "spot" real quick.

Then I switch back to pro-coil and slow down

Yeah, it's a beast, and can be rough on the shoulders after a while, but I can't be without it.

4-h I always use a bungy from the detector to my back pack.

thanks guys, I bought 16.5 excelerator for se and tested in air, really great difference in depth. about 30-50 % depending on the items. did not expect this result. hope I'll get the same results in the field.
