Back at the silver farm on a beautiful morning, it was like old times. Working areas that were now available because foliage has been winter-killed, I managed a 40 Merc and 50D Rosie (along with some common wheats). I came across a solid half dollar type signal, which is often a silver ring. On extraction, I was pleased with what appeared to be a silver ring, but my eyes aren't good enough to see the small print sometimes. By its color, I was certain I'd find either "Sterling" or "925" stamped inside. What I found first was "B&O", which I interpret as some kind of jeweler's hallmark. If this was a railroad ring, I assume there would be some indication of that in the design; that just isn't happening here. Continuing to look for the other information, I was shocked to see "10K" stamped inside the ring! Could it be white gold? I'm not all that familiar with that type of ring. It was another great day in Penn's Woods, but I think that's supposed to change very soon.
