Explanation of dowsing........?

Many thing get over-thought and to no avail. In the case of dowsing it is enough to accept it if it works for you and use it. With so many trying to prove/disprove it there are those of us who are content to just use it and accept that it works based on success. Emperical science while thought to be an absolute is still changing and evolving. Partical physics is a good example, gravity is yet another...although they taught us all about gravity in our science books 50 years ago, in light of current research it is clear they are still investigating it and trying to understand it.

My point is that while research continues into so many areas of science and physics, which may one day explain dowsing, the rest of us who use it will continue to do so quite successfully.

Very good.....I will keep on using and enjoying Dowsing.....I know it works because I have been successful....I don’t care much about people who keep telling us it does not work. Yes I do enjoy myself using a set of Dowsing rods...Art

I think one of the reasons we like to talk about it is to give and receive information on techniques and procedures used by other dowsers. I know I have received a great deal of really good information from Art in this forum. Another reason could be is the same reason research is still going to understand gravity. We know it is there, but don't quite understand it. I wonder what will happen when and if dowsing is fully understood? Might become a boring subject after that as there won't be much to talk about. Until then, I favor Einsteins theory. Les.

Regarding dowsing, it works, just why ??

Dowsing certainly exists, as I proved to my self in my infamous wedding ring experiment. Unfortunately it is riddled with shibboleths. such as you must hop on one foot while mentally reciting this or that, where in fact it is extremely simple, as far as you personally are concerned.

You must eventually assume that it is simply a natural selection by some part of your brain involving frequencies.

Remember you are nothing but a mass of interwoven electrical frequencies, from light, heat, on.

You can gaze into a show case of gold objects for example, all carrying the same basic frequencies, yet have no problem what so ever in selecting just what you want, it is just that simple. This is an example of visual selection.

In dowsing you utilize another form of frequency and strength selection, which is just as valid , and just as simple..

If you can visualize what you are looking for, your brain can do the rest.

Being human, we tend to over complicate things

Relax, if it works for you use it, there is no way in our present understanding of how the brain works, beyond the obvious physical factors, to actually clearly explain it, so don't lose any sleep over it, just go use it.
