Was out this past weekend with my Minelab Explorer II. Had moved spots and when I went to start it, lots of odd things happened. Display was very light, took a long time to change screens, no sound, ect....

Used a different battery pack with new batteries but the same issues.

Did the factory reset and then everything worked fine? This happens maybe twice a year for me and I hate when it does as I have to get everything back to the way I like it.

How often does this happen on your machine?

Thanks!
Jeff

Hey Jeff what's up buddy?

I have encountered this twice with my personal Etrac, and after the initial Master reset, everything is fine. I have emailed Minelab about it, and they have no clue as to why it does that.

I have had my Explorer ll for about 4 years now and its been a good detector. Have not no had any problems like what you are saying. I better find some wood to knock on now.
