Extra Large Horseshoe

Picked this up at a rummage sale Saturday. Biggest horseshoe I ever saw. Are there horses that could use this big of a shoe?

I didn't know horses were equipped with brakes?

This is a modern machine-made horseshoe, probably within the last 20 years.
Probably came off one of these babies.
