Went to the old fairgrounds again tonight, could'nt let the beautiful weather pass me by since I am sure our days of detecting are numbered! Been concentrating on only huntin for those deepies there and tonight i hit a little paydirt "no pun intended". There has been one area that has been very good to me lately so I decided to expand upon it a bit tonight and within minutes got a signal that almost pegged the depth meter. after a long digging period I looked in the hole and see this beautiful barber quarter lookin back at me, man was I smilin! 1907 on the date made the grin even bigger. About ten yards further and again the meter pegs deep and the silver bird is singin in my ear. Ten inches of soil later and a 1917 merc shows up, needed to be one year older! Dang! I also got two wheaties, 1950 and 1957D. hope you all are having good luck hunting and gettting out to enjoy this fantastic fall weather.

Jack, what are the odds of that? I just dug a Barber quarter in a front yard, also dated 1907. Now just dig a Morgan dollar, then maybe I'll get one, LOL!
Happy huntin.

Way to go Jack, more great finds from the fairgrounds! Glad to see you sacrificied your trick-r-treating tonight to go dig some coin. Keep getting them out of there!

Jack: Nice going! Gotta love that deep silver.

Keep digging!

Super sweet finds! Very nice barber, Congrats! A 1917 merc, cool, my first merc was a 1917.
And yes today was a great day for it.

Good luck,
HH.

Great nabs Jack. Your getting dangerous with that explorer. You should hit the Masons place you took us to. I know there is more there to be had. You have so many great spots in your town to keep you busy for years to come. Keep em coming. Jim

For a place that has been beat to death that fairgrounds is still producing! Those were REALLY deep! Way to go.

Great digs Jack!
I am salivating just hoping my procoil gets here before the snow does!
