Purchased 3 years ago at Folsom Street Fair because didn't know what it was. Still don't. Hopefully it is common and just outside my expertise. Is not a powderhorn. Is solid under striker no opening no hole. Is cast metal with nickel coating. Cast in a frame and two sides with applied bird striker. My first impression is Gay Nineties period. My second would be art deco from 20's period. Appears to have no useful function. Does not open to any hidden compartment. I have a second one and it has hunting scenes. Can someone identify this

That would be a "powder flask".

Horns are natural & off animals.

What they are telling you is that it is a powder flask for holding gunpowder or a replica. The top would unscrew or come off to fill. My guess is that the bird latch would allow you to open it with your thumb and pour out the gunpowder in one motion through a small hole in the top. Gldhntr says that it is a replica wall hanger. If it has no hole to pour or fill the gunpowder he may be correct.
