I have an idea in mind what it might possibly be but I wanted to get some opinions without bias! It is made of metal and prob weighs about 1lb. Aprox 5 inches tall x 4 inches wide. What do you think? Thanks for the help everyone on here is so helpful!! :-)

I thought roulette wheel as well but didn't see anything close. There are no attachment points I can see. That tells me it is held in place by gravity - therefore a lid or top. The casting is poor quality. :dontknow:

It looks to me that there are little hooks in the piece in the center maybe 3 hooks can see 2 for sure so I believe it hangs with chain from those hooks to another piece and it is the bottom of a chandelier just a guess though.

My bad I was thinking a top to a lantern style sconce then I saw the tabs so it would have to be a bottom now I'm thinking it's part of a chandelier

Looks like the bottom piece to what I believe we called a "Swag Lamp" back in the late sixty's all rhe way through the 70's . The type that had a globe and a chaun to hide the cord , remember them ? They went good with crushed velvet furniture and long Shag carpet ... Or one of those Swag lamps that had oil raindrop's ... IMHO , Woodstock
