This pair of nearly pristine fancy Ray Bans turned up this morning in a patch of seaweed. A find like this is quite comparable to a small gold ring in value, and is more easily converted into cash commensurate with its value. I have found many sunglasses, but this one was the first one in really fine condition.
I have found the high water line is a good place to look for iphones and sunglasses, especially when there is seaweed. Oddly enough, the first gold ring I ever found at the beach was buried over 12" deep in moist sand (not wet) under the seaweed along the high water line.
[Update: Sold on eBay for $70.00]
