Still waiting for the drilling.
Decided to head to our newest 1000 acre permission & try the newly ploughed up game strip that crossed the small Roman Site. we thought it was going to be an ankle breaker but it was rolled flat.8-)
Cru'dad is nursing his leg so only joined me for 2 hours of the 3 hours it took to do this game strip.
After lunch I tried another game strip on the hill & I lucked into the Saxon item.
5 hours total for me:

10 Roman Coins (2 Ok omes)
Livery Button
6 US Lead Seal?
Mystery Thailand Hindu? thingy (anyone know the deities?)(WWII era)
Circa 6th C Saxon Mount (maybe a shield or scabbard mount but can't find a match)
18th C Clog Clasp
2 17th C Leather Mounts
Pastry Jigger Wheel
Hammered Penny of Ed IV?
Bits...

Love the Corona bottle cap find :)

Which is the Saxon mount? Sorry, my Saxon knowledge is lacking....always interesting finds! May the silver streak continue...and Cru'dad's knee mends quickly...

^ LOL !! I'm sure CRUSADER was thrilled to be able to scratch that one off his bucket list !! One of the nicer Corona caps I've seen. You don't usually see them in that kind of shape after 2,000 years in the ground.

From the London mint, very low mintage.

Srsly who drinks corona in england!

Yet more cool stuff!

Your deity is Indra, riding on a three-headed elephant. He’s often shown wielding weapons, symbols of power or an elephant goad, but for your piece he appears to be in meditative prayer. In both Hinduism and Buddhism, Indra is a guardian deity, king of heaven, and the god of rain and thunderstorms.

Cool idol piece, and hammer head - Corona cap combo.
Getting Saxon and a silver in one hunt is a good day. Congrats.
Best to Cru'dad on the knee.

Thank-you. I knew someone would sort the id for me on here. Never had one.

Yeap, made me smile. That's a first for me & I know how much you guys love that drink.

Cru,

Another great hunt, I really like the Roman coins in the bottom picture. Also, what is the silver colored disc among the buttons in the top left photo which looks like it has a picture of a dragon or like creature on it. Additionally, the US seal looks like the ones found on military ammunition crates - I have popped off many of them over the years. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

Cru... you and C-Dad just keep piling them up! Congratulations, again!

Years ago there was a british beer I wish I had collected called Crusty the clown beer or something like that...the can said 99% safe...I think it was discontinued...now that was a beer!

Not sure if its an odd Dog's Head or Griffin but it's a Livery Button used on the servants uniforms who worked in the big households during the 1830s.

I did wonder if they were ammo box seals, so thanks for confirming it.

The ammo box seal makes sense. I didn't know ammo boxes had lead seals. But i found US marked seals here too, never thought about that. Great hunt again Cru!
