Please excuse my tardiness but I'm just getting around to posting my fathers day finds. Since it was my day to do whatever I wanted, I was able to sneak in a couple hours of metal detecting and decided I would even bring the family along since it was a family holiday. I went to my Old Faithful spot where I got the gold ring last week and hit the same approximate area (this place is HUGE). I was able to pull out a really worn standing Liberty quarter. Seems like these are always worn, no? I got a silver earring, 8 wheats including 2 1911's (plural, not the mintmark :P). Found a neat cross which I guess is brass and a small padlock. The gold guilt button was a surprise because I pulled it out at a depth of.................are you ready for this?.....................11 inches!!! :o My knife that I use to cut plugs has a ruler on the back edge so I measured it because it felt like I was halfway to China by the time it came out.

So it was a great ending to a great fathers day. How could it not be with my little girl helping me cover my holes? :icon_sunny:

Family togetherness is what life is all about and when you have something special like a son or daughter to share it with makes it even more special.

Nice way to spend the day there. Thanks for sharing

i had a bounty hunter 3300 and it is freaky how sometimes it will go so deep.......i wished i kept it....i might try the Fisher F2 if I can get a hold of one....cool finds

happy hunting

" plehbah " What ? ???

Anyway, nice find.... Your daughter is your good luck charm, I bet $1000.00. You would not have found those finds without her. Awesome finds,

Keep @ It and HH!!

Nice cross and clad. It does seem like everytime I see one of those quarters they look the same... worn :o

Yup, it still surprises me every now and then that it can go SOOOO deep for a cheap machine. That button is the same exact size as a modern penny, it's back is made of iron or steel (see how it rusted) and I heard it at 11 inches with the discrimination on! There are some high priced detectors that would have trouble doing that.

Nice finds, Incajoe. Love the SLQ. Daughter is a keeper, too! :icon_queen:

(Glad to know I'm not the only one who hunts with kids in tow.)

Keep digging!

my problem was i just never dug that deep......i though it was BS'ing me.......i still have a habit of only digging signals that are strong......and shallow.....i need to get a digger that will do a bit of deeper clearing of soil.l..

Nice finds & great that the family came along to enjoy your day.
Have two girls myself, ain't they cute in those sun bonnets.
Nice shot of you & your helper.
