How many Clicks are made during that Minute ?

Do they have that many Agents to keep up

1. They don't have to read each post . . . only search for specific words, phrases, and patterns.

2. It doesn't take that many agents when you have an 18 acre (yes, acre) farm of computers to decipher all the clicks and posts.

3. If you pique their interest, they will send you a "carnivore" or a "magic lantern" to keep a closer eye on you.

The best part about it, the programs predate 9/11/2001 by several years.

did you look at the link? :icon_scratch:

yep, but I was responding to the post previous to mine . . . prying eyes is a pet peeve of mine, but most folks don't take them seriously . . . they think they don't exist because the sheer numbers seem to be overwhelming.

now i really scared :-\

Used to have a bad habit of telecommuting on occasion and forgot that webcam overlooking my undie-wearing basement-dwelling-self. Seems some of the folk thought it strange that all I wore was a keyboard on my lap...

No more webcam.

ahhhh but how many internet people have piqued their interest ?

Don't get me wrong I Know they use it. & phones

but by now since 9-11 how many computer users
including the ones in libraries have used a Key word or 50 ?

just discuss politics and the keywords fly

Still More then enough to Read all. I'd wager

they'd be too busy weeding through to get anything posative done.

would almost have to be sentences in rows
not key words that set them off

I recently read an article where Internet Service Providers (ISP's), will now be required to keep logs of their customer's web surfing habits, for two years.

Did you know that the Fed's keep track of the books that you check out from your Library? Yes, they do!

Did you know that the FBI can download software to your cell phone, so that they can listen to your conversations....even when your cell phone is turned off? Yes, they can!

Did you know that your computer keeps track of every website that you have ever visited, and that deleting your Temporary Files & History does NOT get rid of that information? Yep, Microsoft Windows keeps protected files named "index.dat" in multiple places, that can not be erased.
Every website and every pop-up and every pic that you have ever looked at while surfing is secretly stored away on your hard drive!

Now that you are sufficiently paranoid......Have a good time surfing. :D ;D

What's that?
I was restocking my "Catcher in the Rye" collection...
