February 13th from a woods

I went back to the same woods that I found the coke lighter and 1917 merc at and did manage to get me a wheat, some Lincoln memorials and a lock. The lock hadn't been there very long, it was right under the leaves. The fishing weight with a chain on it is an odd find, must be someone was wearing a fishing weight around their neck

That's a weird fashion accessory. Maybe it was the thing back when. Looks like a really nice padlock-too bad you don't have the key. I'll bet there are more treasures in those woods still waiting for you to run your coil over. Keep at it.

Nice finds... Hey that wieght on the chain I don't know for sure but may be a drop weight for ice fishing.. I weaar my hunting overalls to go ice fishing and am always forgetting to take things out of my pockets.. That may be where it came from hunter may have dropped it... That lock looks like one somebody would use to lock a ladder stand up.. Just my thoughts...
