Got out this evening to hunt around an old abandoned farmhouse. The finds are getting few and far between. Was able to dig a Federal Regulation Rooster Neck Spur! This is the second spur we dug from this site. The fist was a Federal Officers Spur and was in the same line as this one about 40 yards away. Don't know a lot of history of the house, but there was a lot of movement in the area during the War with the Tullahoma Campaign. Did not have very many more signals to dig. I did get a deep coin signal and dug down 8" just to recover a 1970 Lincoln Memorial Cent. HH

nice find! I probably wouldn't have recognized it.

That's why we must learn as much as we can, so we don't throw incredible and valuable finds in the trash bin!

Excellent spur dig!
