Few more 'Eramosa strata' fossils

Few more Silurian pics folks. A trilobite (Isotelus) I believe,...bottom section of tail w/telson (stinger) of carcinoma eurypterid (sea scorpion),...nautiloid (tuba shaped),...and a gastropod (spiral shell) I will make into a 430-450 million year old necklace

...The water worn 'wall art' fossil is a cephalopod (squid family),said to be older,Cambrian era.....Well!!!....can't load pics

guess I'll try to add them here whenever/as soon as possible :/

..aaaahhhhhh....well you did sort of warn us...lol wow that stinger is so clear & scary :O Reminds me of my "stung day"...ouch! Can't imagine what it would have been like to get stung by one of those.....more dreams.....

Hi folks, thought I'd throw this unknown ( sea plant/fauna) in as well....with a foot long cephalopod on the left, in the same matrix.....sorry guys....What Is UP!!...with loading PICS??

Oops!...sorry ck...but its just a couple sections of the tail and the 'finger long stinger'!...thought you'd never get bad dreams/flashbacks from that. Heh heh

...don't feel to bad...I'm having trouble loading pics to! It must be something in the air or weather...lol I started over a couple of times & it finally worked!...keep the faith!

Try pic again....An unkown sea plant (which were actually not plants but living creatures)...And to it's upper left a chephalopod (squid family).

Here we have the only "complete" sealilly (crinoid) I've been able to retrieve. approx. 8-10 in. long.

...what is that a "Fossil Factory"...lol Really now, you harvest rock for all kinds of stone work? A Sealilly, neat! I'll have to look that up, can't zoom in on it to see closer...sounds like plant....or animal? I am a "rock" lover so would really enjoy being around stuff like that, you're lucky TJE...hope you like rocks?!

I'm trying to reply but it's not letting me for some reason!? Will try this way....OK....so, is that a "Fossil Factory" TJE? It's very large, do you harvest rock for all kinds of stone work? I love rocks....hope you do if you work there! Really nice "sealilly", I'm guessing it's a plant....or could even be an animal like "sea cucumber" ? It's not letting me zoom in for a closer look, I'll check it out online....you post some super stuff TJE! .....let's see if this gets posted or not this time.....?

yes, the sealilly was an animal 'they say', but sure looks like 'roots' on it?(I clicked pic & it zooms?)..Yeah, seems stonework is in our blood..(from fathers side) I'm 3rd generation.....Well, it's still snowin and 'Groundhog weekend' here so gonna walk uptown..or hop on the horse drawn sleigh ride w/ about 20 people on it I see from here in the park 30 yds. away! :laughing7:

Just letting you know I got to "zoom" & see the pictures of the sealilly, yup...rooted animal..lol Wow 3d gen., that's really nice! Hope you had fun on the "ride" or walk into town. And keep posting the "cool critters"...

Ha! missed the last sleigh! think the snow was too deep/hard on the horses (so I myself just 'hoofed it'!)

Here's a 'Geological Society Of America' book from Oct 2007, vol.35 no.10 write up which shows/describes a few of these fossils/area (one is on this front cover as well) from the "Pro's.....probably could be found on the internet. Interesting, but complicated...took me reading it twice to figure out photos/charts explanations.

Thanks, it was given to me by the guy who did the article...Said to me when he handed it to me..all smiles & excited.."We made the Front Cover".."And your in it too"..haha.
