Field finds

[Merf]

They picked the beans so I headed back to a field that I had pounded this spring. Slim pickins but I found this Buffalo nickel, a couple of wheats, and my first 8 guage shotgun shell brass. Sure wish they would plow that field.

Sweet looking Buff! Nice pile of finds, never found an 8 ga. before. Now that's a shotgun! I used to own a double barrel 10, I can only imagine what it was like to pull the trigger of an 8.

Bob---That 8 guage must be old, I have never seen an 8 guage shotgun.
Those mosquitoes almost got the best of me last time I hit the woods. Hope that first frost comes soon.

That Buff looks great! It should clean up nice. . . just be careful with it when you do clean it.

I'd hate to be a twelve-year-old hunting with that 8-gauge for the first time. . . he'd be sore the next day for sure

Nice finds Merf. Have not gotten to hunt fields too often. Have had mixed results. But the one thing we match on is every field I have ever hunted was full of shotgun shells...etc. And a great helping of trash.
