they said it's only worth melt value and they would pay $10.00 for it.

isnt $10 waaaaaaay over melt though? either way, send it tio ANACS. they will grade coins with problems, like corrosion and scratches. it is at least XF with a very strong strike. great find! dont be discouraged. keep at it!
