Can't believe it!! I posted the other day my 1787 Massachusetts State Copper. Anyways, ended up going back to the same field the next day, and couldn't believe what I found!! Another 1787 State Copper!! This time It was a 1787 New York Nova Eborac!! Can't believe it, two 1787 State Coppers in 2 days!! This field just keeps giving!! Other notable finds: 4 Mercury dimes, 1 silver Rosie dime, 1928 SLQ, and a 1934 Silver Washington Quarter!! And these two beauties!! I don't want it to ever end!! Cheers, and HH

to find one state copper is awesome, two is great, good job, keep pounding that place!

Congrats on the states coppers. Bet there are more goodies in that field.:occasion14:

Nice digs. Your doing good on the coppers.

hey - you're from Western Mass too - you don't have to divulge the location - but - whereabouts are you from - most of the river fields around me are pretty good (Northampton...Hatfield..Hadley....Sunderland..Deerfield...any of them....depending on proximity to old houses).....

Yeah, I'm trying to get more permissions to do some old farms and stuff. I'm from the Springfield area. Only been MDing for a little over a year. But I love it and have been hitting it hard. It's something I've wanted to get into for years finally jumped in with both feet. Yeah, there's some amazing places up your way for sure. Down here it's tough because everything has been modernized and torn down. It's hard to find colonial spots around here for sure. It took me over a year of really deep local research to find this place. Which really makes it a million times sweeter when it actually pays off. Anyways, what town are you from?

Nice day of digging

Congrats on the state coppers!!

There's got to be more old coppers. Good Luck!!

Haven't seen a lot of the New York coppers dug. Certainly more rare than most of the state coppers we see being posted. Great finds.

Congrats, two awesome finds. I'm originally from Monson, glad to hear the Springfield area is producing!

That's a record for sure! Two of the same, same date, in two days!
If I wasn't so happy for you, I'd be depressed. But I'm happy for you! Happy dance!!!!!

if I were in Springfield Id be checking all the various dirt piles from the construction for the casino - I know they are digging right around the Armory - there should be some fantastic early items being dug up - even if you can't get into the actual construction site - there should just be lots of piles and dirt being hauled around to various places.....
drop me a line if you feel like coming up this way sometime - probably in the fall when the fields are turned - I have access to some decent fields...

Excellent finds! Congratulations

That'd be awesome brother. I'd really enjoy that. Id say you should come down this way too, but you shouldn't lol. You have the hot spot already. My buddy and I are always having to drive out of our area to find old rural, untouched areas. You're right where is want to be. Cheers.

How did you dig Two state coins without digging a few George half pennies and a ton of relics and typical farmer junk ?
That is sick , sic I tell ya :laughing7: not saying it is impossible .... just very unusual .

dAwg
