I stopped by the bank to deposit a check and noticed two Ike dollars in the tray with several clad halves behind it. I told the teller I'd take the Ikes and when he pulled them off I noticed a walking liberty behind the Ike and in front of the clad halves. I immediately told him I would take the halves also. He pulled them out and laid them across the counter and there was not one but two. I thought for sure he would see the two WLH's and keep them but as my heart was beating he finally placed them on the counter and I grabbed them quick. My first Walking Liberties from a bank!

nice grab and run!!

I remember my first WLH's from a teller tray... Teller examined them pretty closely before handing them over. Didn't examine the Booker T. at all, though. :D

Congrats on the find, they're tough to come across in the wild.

Nice! Not only have I never got a Walker from a teller tray, I have never got A SINGLE SILVER from a teller tray. Congrats.

Was in the bank just a few days ago (getting my cash from my dump), and noticed a nice little silver rim in her half dollar section of her coin tray. I casually asked if I could buy her halves; she was a sweet young thing and said, "sure!" So I picked up $2 worth and only one was a 40%, but it's always a great feeling to spot them just sitting there...waiting for people like us to come by and swipe them up! :)

I'm with BB. That is an excellent find though! I've only found 7 walkers ever in boxes.

Excellent find. Right place at the right time. I've never found a silver in a teller tray as well.

great score, if a teller doesn't know about walkers, they obviously don't know about silver :)
