Finally got my colonial fix at a new spot along river with two knee buckles

Ive spent the past month looking for a new old site along the river. I was beginning to get discouraged but persistence finally paid off. Some buckle fragments, tombacs and a cast pewter button would alone have made my day but the two complete knee buckle frames are awesome. Dont think Ill find much more there as it is a pretty small area and the water gets real deep quick but it feels good to get the skunk off

Great finds and greater inspiration. I have plenty of water sites to consider and need to get out there soon as the weather right now is not very favorable for hunting in the woods. Congrats! Two knee buckles is a great outing!
 

Those are some nice colonial relics!:thumbsup: Knee buckles are really cool.
