Well finally made to a lake near our home that I have been wanting to hit for some time, paid our 5 bucks to enter and the security guy said he had no problem with us detecting there . We were pretty happy about that :). So we headed down to the lake and hunted for about 2 hours finding lots of change and from the depth of my finds it seemed no one had been there in years if ever. we waited on some rain for a bit when the security guy came to tell us the park would be closing in about half an hour and in the same breath he said YOU GUYS ARENT DIGGING ARE YOU ? and I responded with only about a couple inches. He said we dont allow any digging here! I thought Hmm
but respectfully gathered our gear and headed out with only a bunch of change a small ring a watch
and some pull tabs :( I was really hoping to go back but doesnt sound likely.

From the land of the Bluenose...takes all kinds me bouy when the flavour is Heinz. Nice outing and don't be too concerned......................lots more out there like that me son! Enjoyed your post!

If they let kids make sand castles. I don't see what the problem is. If you are the water continue what you are doing. You are not making any holes where the grass is there should be no problem. I would go back and make it a whole day if I was you. pack a lunch and hunt a few hours have lunch and go back to hunting. If you have to pay $5 buck to get in you should make a all day outing. Have fun and let us know if you get back.....Matt
