Great finds! Love those 2 centers and likely an 1865 as that and the 64 had the most minted. Can you please show a close up of the buckle? That style may quite old and a great find. Hard to tell from the in situ pic though

Way to go on the 2 cent coin! Found one today also. :icon_thumleft:

good for you, right on........

Congrats on the great day and two cent. Probably will never find one of those as my area just isn't that old.

Great finds! Nice buckle !

Boiling peroxide is the best cleaning method for dirty coppers. It leaves the patina and removes all the stubborn dirt. Its always my preferred cleaning method. Read into it a little bit :)

Now that is a great day of hunting and finding treasures. Very nice job.

Nice finds. Congrats on the coins.

HD thanks for the pic. There's a fantastic free shoe buckle dating pdf download online by Ross Whitehead. If you punch in his name and buckles it will come up.

Have you tried adding just a little Oxy Clean white crystal/grains cleaner to the boiling peroxide??

I quit buying the peroxide and just boil water and add the oxyclean.

NICE FINDS!
