A couple of days ago I posted my nearly one ounce "gold" necklace, marked 14k, that tested to be junk. There were a few questions about how I tested that necklace so I photoed my latest find as I tested it on my Mizar. I pulled this jumbo earring out of the water this morning, but it was so large and heavy I didn't think it could be real, and I couldn't read the marks on it. It comes in at 3.7 grams which is heavier than a lot of womens ring's, and as you can see, tested as real 14k.

Hi Susan , Jumbo congrats on the Gigantic earring!!!
 
Not the prettiest of earrings but it sure did take a LOT of gold to make it. Fantastic find!
