Hi Everybody. My md buddy and I noticed that some construction was occuring down a whole block of a street in our town. So we made plans and went, got permission from the site foreman and began our search in front of three old house foundations. The topsoil had been removed by the construction equipment. First swing of my coil I get a nickel signal, it's a 1972 nickel, big woop. Very next swing of my coil I get a 50c reading. Now in the past a 50c reading usually has been an aluminum can, or other trash and 1 time I even got 2 stacked quarters on a 50c reading( Apparently the ACE 250 does math). Anyway I dig down about 3-4 inches and I see a big silver eagle. A 1945 Walking Libert Half. I nearly crapped my pants. A few minutes later I pulled a barely legal '64 Rosy out of the ground. Other interesting finds were a 1942 Italian 10c piece, and 10 wheats. A 1919,1920 and various 40's and 50's. Also got a shield of some sort, looks to be some type of military pin or something marked Sterling on the back. My buddy got a nice silver baby spoon, a '27 Buffalo nickel and several wheats. By far this is the most productive spot I have hunted. Together we have pulled over 150 coins. I am going back there this morning so wish me luck. Sorry no pics but I am going to get a USB cord for my camcorder and post the pics later this week with anything else I find so stay tuned, same Bat time same Bat channel. HH Steve
