Hello all,,,
I hadn't gotten out much in August. Went out the other day for a few hours and found a couple of wheats, a 1924, and a 1929. I went out today to the ol' cache site and managed a few keepers. The first being a 1916 wheatie, and then, my first IH since I don't know when... It's a 1874 and looks to be in fairly good condition under all the crud. One of the oldest I have found for an IH. My oldest being a 1867. It was good to get back out and do some swing'n and the IH was definitely better than just finding another wheatie. As I was walking along, I saw a few batteries lying on the ground next to an old tree. It really is a shame that some people can't seem to carry their trash out with them... I would guess it was another detectorist, as there just aren't that many people that get back into this particular area... I haven't used my camera much lately either, so I took a shot of em, and then disposed of them properly.
Hope you all were able to get out and had some luck.
Happy hunting~

Thanks gang!!!
It was really nice to finally get back out swing'n and the 1800's IH was a very surprise. Just when you think it's about time to give up on a particular site it throws another keeper at you to went the ol' appetite...

I guess it was better to find the batteries now, while they were still above ground, instead of a few months from now and have to dig them up...

Good luck all, & Happy hunting~
