Finally went detecting and was given the bird...Tweety bird!

I followed WHADIFIND's sage advice to just go where I was led. I passed several places and ended up at a school I haven't been to in a while.

First signal a 66' nickel, a good sign. Second signal only 4 ft. from the truck, a Tweety pendant, the loop looked like gold, but Tweety was dirt encrusted, it was a solid nickel signal.
I figured GP at best, kept detecting, time was limited. Clad count was lower and trash was higher than normal, but I got out detecting And that was my goal!
Cleaned up Tweety later, what I thought was GP is...(drum roll please!)... 2" long and 5.4g of 10 K gold! . WOO HOO!!!
