I just follow my nose!...where the silver and gold goes!
Minelab 5000, Goldmaster, and a few others
XRF spectrometer, Common sense.
Primary Interest:
Prospecting
I went to one of my banks to just make a deposit of some checks and low and behold there is a few halves in the tellers tray,
I look at them while she is processing my checks and they looked gray and white.

No way, I think these guys are silver sharks most of the time.

Sure enough I asked if I could buy the halves, Sure she said, its $5 worth.
I handed her a five and she forked over the halves,
Sure enough a nice mix of gray and clad.
ended up with

1 1964
3 40%ers
Not bad for a $5 throw down.
earlier this week I had to buy $4000 in halves to get the same result.

Nice for $5 ;D You run your banks and CWI out of silver in your area?

This area has been pretty much dry save the occasional 40 and occasional 90, there are always going to be one or two out there. But the glory boxes where %10 to %30 of the box being silver is gone. I keep seeing the same halves popping up, the same markers and stickers and date written halves. The same slugs too. I do find some new silver in each but for the most part I was able to eat up years of accumulation in a few short months. Its a fate that all half hunters will have to contend with,
Competition, I mean the words out.
And limited resource. Once any fishing ground is over fished or over hunted it takes a long time for the population to come back up. But the thing is, everyone is hunting, and not much is to be found.
Of coarse little scores like what I got will always be around but its few and far between.
It could happen to any of you next! ANYONE!!!
