I have found two small pocket knives, car keys for people. The way I found them was to turn the sensitivity down a little and swing the coil a few inches off of the ground. Lay a ring of similar size on the ground and swing your coil over it while raising it. See how far it will pick it up. Then lower the coil a inch or two and hunt with the coil that high.
If you do this you will only be picking things up that are right on or at the surface. You will be amazed at how this will quiet down your machine. This method will elemental 75% of the targets and help you zone in on it. Good Luck
