what a great excuse to visit a beautiful area. i had heard of the land betw the lakes.only been there once b4.in winter.really pretty in the fall.great fall leaves !

arrived early and was able to go for a non planted hunt on friday.got 3 pistol balls, and was able to view some old earthwork ramparts. fri nite we had the free dinner and met a lot of nice folks.

sat the hunt was quite chilly but sunnny. just warm enuf. wife stay in car. hunting these giant fields for targets .coins bullets prize tokens and even some cannonballs. break for lunch then another 2hr hunt. very sore when finished.

i havent taken pix of my non hunt non seeded finds.that will be a later post. hotel table pic shows hunt finds. e trac realy not a relic machine.used the tesoro in all metal. 50 larger prize tokens were planted. i was happy to get 2. only 1 other fellow had 3. and another had 2 as well. so i came in second or third depending on how u score it. with 200 people hunting this means 153 didnt get any big prize tokens. of course there were a few more valuable hits in the field like cannonballs to help even things out.

for my 85 dollar entry i got:
free ice cream sundae
free dinner for 2
assorted water/soda
eagle button $8
officer sleeve button $3
30 3 ringer bullets @$2 = $60
1 larger cal bullet $4
1 fusee thing $3
prize #12 md headphones retail $20
prize #47 bullet in wood from cw relic store priced retail $35.i guess very hard to find as wood almost always rotted away after 140 years ago.
entry ticket prize minelab coffee mug $2?

great fun
