Between work, weather, and a new girlfriend, I'm finding it hard to get out this spring. Here are some finds from a couple of my well pounded sites. Hopefully I will get some time to explore for new sites before the weeds grow up and the fields are planted.
.
The first hunt gave up a nice nickel plated suspender buckle and a few flat buttons. On the second hunt, my very first signal was the 1801 LC. Shortly after that I dug the watch winder with the glass jewel. Not much after that, then it started rain and I left. Hopefully over the Easter weekend I will be able to make up for lost time!

Love the large cent with the initial on it - personal connection - possibly could be associated with early property owners ?

The property owner's name started with an M...an upside down W. But there was a tavern at this site, and it saw a lot of people passing through. I have dug 28 coppers, 9 Spanish silvers, and 2 early American silvers here.

I didn't realize you were still hitting that site Steve. Looks like its still giving up the relics and coins so I'm sure you're not finished there yet.

I love the 'personalized' 1801 LC with the 'W' carved into it!
Do you think it stands for Washington?

Nice finds. What is the item at the bottom in the first pic? Looks like an ear ring?

Heck yeah! I have found very few things that have been personalized. Alone it's an awesome coin but with with a crude initial on it make that much better. Great find Steve!

Still working it Bill. It's close and convenient, but would be nice if they plowed it. Hasn't been plowed since before I started hunting it.
