My family bought some land in Christian County, KY a few years ago, I love history and everything that comes with it, but the thought of looking for arrowheads and the like never crossed my mind until one was accidentally uncovered in a creek a few weeks ago.

This the creek/rock wall that everything was found. Most of the items were found along the wall where the creek cut away from the base of the exposed bedrock.

(Pictured Above) The way the camera is facing is where the creek cuts to left and you can walk along the rock wall and that's where all but a few items were found. (Area not pictured)

(Pictured Above) The first arrowhead was found in the sand bar, but unfortunately I never got a picture of it (that was two weeks ago)

Nice area to dig. I use a Farsk tree pruner to cut the small roots out of the way. I would also dig a test hole on the other side of the water source. From the looks of the site I would imagine the artifact are everywhere. Thanks for the pics.

My sophisticated piece of equipment is the head of a flower garden rake clamped and electrical taped to the end of a leg off a camera tri-pod. I was able to make three telescopic tools out of one tri-pod. I can scrape/dig on one end, poke around for snakes with the other :)
