fine gold question

Ive got a question about fine gold. in my sluice i keep finding vary vary fine gold and i was wondering if i used a fine gold mat in the bottom if it would help me out. would it work better or is it just a waist of time?

Welcome.
Are you masking about ribbed matting, miners moss or carpet? Sluices will usually habe about 6" of rib at the top and either miners moss or carpet under the riffles, If you are seeing fine gold don't change a thing, everything is working correctly. Fine gold is the hardest to capture.

Put some ribbed rubber matting under it.

I used rubber frim work . But it may help
