Fired bullet? Please help

Went on a hunt at the park that was a army fort during the mid 1800s I dug this up and my first guess is it's a fired bullet that hit a rock I heard that people use to hunt deer back then probably before the 1920s IMG_2648.webpIMG_2648.webp

I would say your "first guess" is probably dead on, no pun intended.

Does anyone have a clue on what kind of a bullet that was?

Look bigger than 50 Cal. Possibly a modern 58 Cal. muzzle loader. No measurements, so only a guess.
