First 15 boxes of 2013

I don't know if these count towards 2012 or 2013 since I picked them up yesterday but opened them today?

Anyway, 8 boxes of halves = nada. Skunk now at 89 boxes. Worst ever!

4 boxes of dimes = 11 silvers

3 boxes of nickels = 5 war and 2 dateless buffs

The half skunk will be broken this week!

Hope you can break the skunk streak on the halves soon, that's brutal.

That's rough on the halves skunks. I just started CHRing in Nov. thanks to this forum and I can't imagine that many in a row. Just curious, what general part of FL are you in? One of the coasts or central FL? Just curious since there are several of us on here. I hope your skunks go away soon.

EC Central FL. I am happy to report that the streak is broken! Today's pickup of 12 has 2 enders.

Glad to hear that, congrats!! I just hit a major collector's dump from my Dec. boxes and am elated. Good the silver is flowing again for you. At least we're not competition for each other as I am toward the Gulf coast.

The last two boxes of dimes I picked up were both skunks. I picked up a box today from a different bank so we'll see later tonight if that streak continues.

I was going to say ouch at first, well, ouch, 89 skunks, I almost made it to 30 in a row right before Christmas. I love seeing enders, at least you know there is something in the boxes! Sounds like we are not too far from each other there Unroller. HH, Maverick.

Yep. I have heard stories of the 'other guy' at my pickup banks. Although.... those banks are 30 miles or so south of me. No volume hunters close to me. 12 boxes today (8 boxes w/ black and white stripe rolls = nothing) other 4 produce 19 40s 2 90s. also, 2 dimes = 5 silver and 1 1940 canadian.

I doubt it is me, I have delt with my banks for about a year now and only one branch I have found out recently had a guy who orders a box every few weeks from them. I how ever have a new dumper at another branch now, seems to only bring a box in every once in a while with the rolls very carefully rolled back down, even the teller said to me that the guy said he just needed the money and implied he never opened them, right. We've both been doing this for a while and never crossed paths so I'd say we're not affecting each other. Ido see a lot of the same marks in my boxes though. Do you mark yours with anything? Don't tell me here so as not to start a flame war, lol, shoot me a PM if you like. HH, Maverick.

I was thinking of one bank quite a bit away from me where someone has a regular order. Its a cube box bank. Anyway, other than that, no other regular orders (except for mine) at the banks around here. Lots of guys trying a few boxes but they give up quick. Good we are not pulling from the same banks! You mentioned something about seeing odd marks on coins awhile back (I think?) I had the same experience during my recent skunk. Marks I had not seen before. We probably do get coins from the same hub. Tonight's coins included a gazillion various marks. Silver gets mixed in along the way. I DO NOT MARK. Do you ever get coins marked 'RB S. FL BOA'? i hate those. HH

I haven't seen any like that ever. Yes, when the big skunk streak was upon me the coins in the boxes were different, marks I had never seen before and the boxes were cleaned out, like no proofs or magicians coins or any Balboa's either for 27 straight boxes. I don't mark mine but, I did do about 50-60 coins about 6 months ago, someone in here got some about 3-4 months ago, but those are the only ones I've done, you'll know if one makes its way to you. Same with my streak. Nothing in the boxes. Not even a beat up proof. Like someone sucked every coin out. Do you get flat boxes?

Once in a while, primarily cubed.

I do mostly flat boxes but 8 cubes a week. I noticed that when the coins are good both boxes produce, even though they should not be the same. Also noticed a run of burned coins in both boxes and a proof streak (100s of proofs) a few months distributed between both boxes.

The last few times I ordered from my flat box bank I've received repack dumps and I never know what I'm going to get any more from them, the very last order from them a couple weeks ago I got repack cube boxes sealed with clear tape, the rolls had been painstakingly rolled back down very tight, looked as if they had't been searched. I just upped my order from 2 to 4 boxes next week, I can't see me getting a delivery of 4 repacks. At least I hope not lol.

I took the first 8 just to be decent to the tellers who order and lift all those boxes but told them they were repacks. The next 8 I did not take.

I wish I could refuse them, I never do, I asked one of my regular branches about the repacks, when I would have 1 show up in an order of 4, she told me that's what they delivered and she really couldn't anything about it so I never said anything again about it, I don't get a big rash of them from my normal pick up banks but this one branch ( which is in a very dense area) that I order from every so often seems to get them often and I don't deal with them enough to say anything about it, they wouldn't take any rolled coin for wcash so I started ordering from them instead recently. Lets me search 2 carriers at once.
