Detector(s) used
White's DFX 300 Sunray DX-1 probe/ XLT Sunray XL-1 probe
I went on a trip to Maryland over the weekend and brought the XLT
in case I found a spot to hunt. Although its not the best for beach hunting,
I stopped by Ocean City with some friends and decided to poke around.
The weather was good and even if the finds were not great, I had fun.
I think I will stick to land hunting though and should I return to the beach, I
will bring the DFX.

You did well your first time out and that looks like a great place to go back to

Wow, that parking lot is HUGE. I want to hunt at a beach that is so concentrated :)

Looks like for your first beach hunt, you did pretty well. I spy some jewelry in there, and some old crusty coins. You may not realize it, but the older a coin looks in the salt, the better! Crusty coins mean you are in a level of the sand that has not seen a detector in a loooong time, and, you are that much closer to the gold level :).

I was wondering if they saw a lot of detecting ;D

I don't live near any large beaches in NY, but I would try it again if I got the choice.
Till then I will stick to what I am better at, parks, yards, and fields.
