First Beach attempt oceanside California

After reading some discussions regarding Moderately priced detectors for beginners( Mine included)..and asking for some Beach tips from some of the nice People here..I hit the beach @oceanside calif for my very first beach session.

Taking heed to some of the advice from more experienced MD'rs....I hit the beach at low tide and found several items.
Some a few inches down, and others just peeking from under the sand.. and even one dare I say...... laying directly on top of the sand held in place by just a little sand (5.00 bill).
all in all, I had a blast,cleaned the beach and came away with some beautiful photos.

Along the water's edge in LaJolla Shores, my Bounty Hunter is set off by pockets of blood worms in wet sand down several inches. Must be the iron in the blood. Anyway, the local surf fish go crazy for them, so take your pole next time and some small treble hooks. Maybe you'll catch a Garibaldi....now there's some real gold.

Love going to the beach, although winter has quickly descended upon the Northeast. That said, I will bundle up warmer and continue going out. (No crowds this time of year!)
