you beat my very first beach hunt by a lot! I didn't find anything but garbage and 12 cents.....but the next day I found my first sterling ring

WOW. I thought you meant YOUR happy face from enjoying detecting (as mine always is), but you actually found a Happy Face - How cool is that. Congrats and keep on smiling.
