My first beach hunt went pretty well for only the second time that I took my IDX Pro out for a walk.
Some concerns about permits were tossed to the wind because no one paid any attention to me while I was hunting except to ask, "Found anything?"
Yep. But I was stunned to note that the water's edge and tide marks were barren.
Following what I've learned by lurking here I headed for an entrance/exit boardwalk and started swingin'.
Never got one bad signal, dug everything, found yards of rusted wire from their old beach fences (a bit of a nuisance) but in the end came up with a tiny bit of clad and some junk jewelry.
*Shrug* At least I know my instrument is workin' well. Tuning was a breeze but my arm is a little stiff and crouching under the boardwalk has my back singing.
No big deal. Next time I'll walk down the beach first, and detect on the way back. Should save valuable detecting time there. I plan to go again tomorrow, earlier.
